District Sales Manager.

We are always searching for talented management candidates to help open new territories across the nation. Our management position, called the District Sales Manager (DSM), is the local management representative for EMG and the main person in charge of executing the company’s corporate mission and sales goals in the market to which they are assigned.  The DSM is primarily responsible for the daily operations and completion of the enrollment of new accounts and development of sales representatives.  Their primary job role is to ensure the success of their office, portfolio, and representatives.
Summary of Primary Job Roles: The following is a summary of the primary job roles and responsibilities of the District Sales Manager.

  • Coordinate placement of recruitment advertisements for sales representatives and other personnel needed to staff the local office, interview prospects, and hire new sales positions and other personnel as needed or as directed by upper management.
  • Train and mentor new sales recruits on EMG’s products, services, and sales system, and assist sales representatives in phone prospecting, lead generation, account evaluation, and bid creation for accounts.
  • Go to appointments with sales representatives and assist in the closing of deals and in the completion of service paperwork, and ensure that all paperwork is complete with sales representatives before being sent to the central office for processing and account enrollment.
  • Assist sales representatives in the deployment and download of equipment at new account locations.
  • Conduct workshops to motivate and train individual sales representatives, complete monthly evaluations for each representative to learn and increase production, develop sales representative selling skills, and help create and grow a monthly portfolio.
  • Terminate employment of sales representatives and other staff as needed.
  • Conduct Monday meetings, Tuesday/Thursday Workshops, and Call Jams, and communicate with Divisional Manager and other corporate personnel as needed.

Compensation: The DSM is compensated on several levels.  The following is a basic compensation outline.

Base Salary:  District Sales Managers are paid a base salary that is commensurate with their experience, tenure, residual buyouts (if applicable), and market rates.
Commissions and Signing Bonuses: District Sales Managers are paid according to the normal EMG commission and signing bonus schedule on their own completed sales.  District Sales Managers are allowed to sell all EMG products and services and are able to build their own residual portfolios.

Commission Overrides: District Sales Managers earn a commission override on their office’s paid commissions for residuals, equipment sales, and signing bonuses.  They are paid a percentage of what is paid to all active representatives for equipment and signing bonuses, and on the office merchant portfolio.
Performance and Incentive Bonus: District Sales Managers participate in numerous bonus and sales incentive programs that are paid on a monthly or annual basis.

401K and Health Benefits:  Upon completion of the required probationary period, District Sales Managers have the opportunity to enroll in EMG’s 401K, Health Insurance, and benefits programs.

Management Retreat and Holiday Party Travel: EMG requires attendance to a Manager’s Retreat and annual Holiday Party.
